My Approach
Beloved, I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be
in good health, as it goes well with your soul.
3 John 1:2
Philosophy
You can feel better.
Your body was designed to keep everything in a state of balance (or homeostasis).
When you are overwhelmed by stressors (difficult life circumstances, environmental toxins, viruses, impaired digestion, to name a few) or lacking essential nutrients, your body has a way of letting you know through symptoms. These symptoms are important clues to help you give your body what it needs!
Crashing and dealing with brain fog every afternoon or waking up tired doesn’t have to be your norm. Feeling bloated, relying on laxatives or heartburn relief to function doesn’t have to be your story.
Food is medicine. You are what you eat, or rather, what you absorb. The nutrients you eat build every single one of the cells in your body and give them what they need to do their jobs. That is why digestion function is so key to overall health.
A nutrient-dense whole-food diet gives your body the nourishment it needs to fuel all you’ve been called to in life. Without these nutrients your body is relying on, the energy and function of cells, organs, and systems do not work as they were created.
While there are general guidelines of what our bodies need to eat that are helpful for all, we are highly bio-individual. The best amount of protein, fat, and carbohydrates varies from person to person, as do what vitamins and minerals may be helpful to target.
We live in a culture where deprivation, shame, fear, reward, or even being applauded for self-indulgence are at play when it comes to food. We’ve been conditioned to jump in on the newest fad diet or quick fix. Ultimately though, we have not been equipped with principles for sustainable health.
You’ll find there is a healthier approach that may surprise you with how empowered you feel and what symptoms dissipate!
The other foundational aspects of health that are important to look at in addition to digestion include:
- Stable blood sugar, which is significantly impacted by stress and is a key component of most disease
- Healthy levels of fatty acids
- Balanced minerals
- Adequate hydration
- Endocrine system & hormone balance
- Immune system strength
- Detoxification of any underlying toxins/pathogens
When one of these is out of balance, symptoms begin to show up. As I mentioned before, symptoms are our body’s way of communicating to us that something is not quite right!
This may show up as a lack of energy, food sensitivities, hormone imbalances, dry skin, or constipation . . . or possibly as disease states.
Looking at red flags and patterns in blood work, along with other supports will help us dig deep as to what your unique situation requires. You may have a diagnosis, but do you know why it is there?
Our goal is to find possible root causes so that your body can heal and function as it has been created.

You will be covered in prayer.
As my client, I will be praying for your healing and seeking wisdom on your behalf. The One who knit you together in your mother’s womb knows you intimately. Prayer can be incorporated as a part of our sessions together if you so choose.
